Before we even planned on going to Florida we planned on taking the kids to Disney Land. But we did not want to tell them, we wanted to surprise them. So we got in the car and said we were going to Uncle Wendell's house. On our way down the weather was terrible. So we slept at Wendell's house and told the kids we would have to turn around and come back another time. (Uncle Wendell's is in St. George and the kids love it because it has a pool and a zip line and lots of other stuff) We got up Sunday morning and told the kids we were driving back home. But Jeremy and I started driving the car to Disney Land.
This is the kids thinking they are going back home. ( I love that Tyson is smiling , he is just happy to come along for the ride)
Then the kids started noticing palm trees and things that they didn't recognize, so we told them that we were lost and that Grandma and Grandpa found us a place to stay for the night.
We pulled into the house we were staying at and unloaded our things. Then we told the kids we needed to go and find a map. This is one of the streets we drove past on our way to find a map.
This is Tori's reaction to seeing the name of that street. Then we drove right in front of Disney land and told the kids that we would be going there first thing in the morning.
This is Tyson's reaction to that news.
and finally things started making sense to Tori
This was the tree right out side the house we stayed in ... we could not believe there were wild parrots.
Then we all went to the beach the night before we went to Disney Land. Lily loved the water so much that she chased the tide out way to far and a huge wave was coming right for her, I yelled for her and both me and Jeremy tried to run for her. We didn't catch her in time and she went for a swing in the surf. Jeremy got to her and saved her. So sad!!!

We went to Jedi training and Tyson didn't get picked so we went again because he cried to hard and he didn't get picked and so we went 45 minutes early and he got picked and he trained so well and got to fight Darth. The force was strong with this young one!
The end from Disney Land. Lots of fun going from one side of the country to the other in a matter of 2 weeks. We are vacationed out for now. But thankful for the fun memories.

Oh Disneyland!! My favorite place ever! I have seen the Jedi training and it would have been fun to see Tyson do it. I love the trick you pulled on the kids. Maybe Mark and I will have to try that someday.
so fun! ethan was nervous about Buzz too for a few minutes, and then he thankfully warmed up to him. :) he's so big! and the jedi training - very cool. how lucky to be picked!
How fun!!! I have always wanted to surprise my kids and go to Disneyland! Maybe someday it will happen. I LOVE disneyland it is such a fun place to go!!
Sounds like such a fun trip. It think my kids have this drive imprinted permanently in their brains we would never be able to pull of that surprise...especially after we hit Vegas.
